"Raising Active Citizens for a Digital World" is an Erasmus+ KA210-SCH project that brings together educational institutions from Italy, Turkey, Spain, and Hungary to address the critical need for digital citizenship education in schools.
In an era where young people are increasingly engaged with digital technologies, this project aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to navigate the digital world responsibly, safely, and ethically.
Educate students about online safety, privacy protection, and cybersecurity best practices to ensure they can protect themselves and others in digital environments.
Develop students' ability to critically evaluate online information, identify misinformation, and make informed decisions in the digital age.
Foster understanding of digital rights, ethical online behavior, and the responsibilities that come with digital citizenship in a connected world.
Create a network of educators across Europe to share best practices and develop innovative approaches to digital citizenship education.
Secondary school students aged 12-18 who will directly benefit from digital citizenship education and participate in project activities.
Educators who will receive training and resources to effectively teach digital citizenship and implement project methodologies in their classrooms.
Educational institutions that will integrate digital citizenship into their curricula and benefit from international cooperation and exchange.
September 2025 Official launch of the project and start of coordination, management, and dissemination activities.
September 2025 International teacher workshop in Hungary focusing on digital media literacy, online safety, and active citizenship.
October 2025 – December 2025 Local workshops for students and parents to transfer digital media literacy and active citizenship skills.
April 2026 International workshop in Italy focusing on intercultural awareness and digital storytelling tools.
April 2026 – June 2026 Implementation of digital storytelling activities with students and families in partner schools.
September 2026 International workshop focusing on digital citizenship, democratic participation, and e-government services.
September 2026 – November 2026 Local training sessions and awareness activities on digital citizenship and online public services.
April 2027 International workshop dedicated to digital community building and student-led social projects.
April 2027 – June 2027 Local implementation of digital social projects and community engagement activities.
July 2027 – August 2027 Final evaluation, dissemination of results, website update, and sustainability planning.
August 2027 Final reporting, publication of outputs, and official project closure.
